David Mandell 
Aug. 29, 1932- December 26, 2004



David Mandell, 72, died in his sleep on Sunday, December 26, 2004. With him at 
the time of his death were his long-time companion, Alice Davis and his 
daughters, Carol Ann Lindgren and Nancy Mandell Bittner. He is preceded in 
death by his father and mother, Harry and Norma Mandell and his brother, Dan. 
Dave was born August 29, 1932 in Grosse Pointe, Michigan and received his 
undergraduate degree at Michigan State University and his MBA at the University 
of Michigan. He obtained his MBA with the help of the GI Bill. A CPA, he worked 
for numerous prestigious companies, including Coopers & Lybrand, Ford Motor 
Credit, M&M Mars and Tillie Lewis Foods.
He truly loved making his home in Stockton, playing golf and traveling. His 
last years were brightened with the companionship of his beloved Alice and all 
of his great friends and neighbors.
Survivors include his daughters, their husbands (Jeff Lindgren of Sierra Vista, 
AZ and Tom Bittner of Freico, TX); his three grandchildren, Matt Creviston, 
Alison Creviston and Tommy Bittner and his older brother, Richard Mandell of 
Columbia, SC and his family. We are all deeply thankful for the incredible care 
and support of the people at the Hospice of San Joaquin. We will all miss Dave 
terribly and thank everyone for their kind words and prayers.
A Memorial Service will be held at DeYoung Shoreline Chapel, 7676 Shoreline 
Dr., Stockton on Thursday, December 30, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. No visitation and 
committal is private.
The family asks that donations, in lieu of flowers, be made to Hospice of San 
Joaquin, 3888 Pacific Ave., Stockton, CA 95204.
