Martha "Marty" Bolen 
May 31, 1929 - December 25, 2004



Martha "Marty" Bolen, 75, passed away Saturday, December 25, 2004. She was born 
May 31, 1929 in Kansas. Martha was a longtime resident of Stockton, working at 
St. Joseph's Hospital for 30 years until she retired in 1994 at age 65. Once 
retired, she chose to cruise the world with her family. She was a devoted 
member of First Baptist Church of Stockton since 1992 - a member of the Truth 
Seekers and Lamplighters Sunday School Class. She was a participant in Bible 
Study Fellowship for 11 years. She was extremely talented and interested in 
crafts and interior decorating. Much of her time was spent sharing her passions 
with her only daughter and her grandchildren - both biological and the like. 
You see, she was "Grandma Marty" to every child.
Martha is survived by her only daughter, Laurie Emmons; her son-in-law, Greg 
Emmons; her twin grandchildren, Ellen and Joshua Emmons; her niece, Liz Johnson 
and her husband, Josh Johnson of Sumner, Washington; and her only brother, Carl 
Simmons of Denver, Colorado.
A Funeral Service will be held at the First Baptist Church, 3535 N. El Dorado 
at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 30, 2004. Visitation will be Tuesday from 
1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m to 7:00 p.m. at the 
Mortuary. Committal: Private.
