Boyd Earl Godfrey 
June 6, 1937 - Dec. 26, 2004



Boyd Earl Godfrey entered into rest on Sunday, December 26, 2004 following a 
courageous battle with cancer. He was 67 years old.
Born in Idaho Falls, Idaho on June 6, 1937, Boyd was a graduate of Stockton 
High School. He was a longtime resident of Stockton, who had worked in concrete 
prior to retiring as a finish carpenter for Smelser Construction. Boyd was a 
talented woodworker and enjoyed tinkering in the garage. He was treasured by 
all who knew him and will be deeply missed. 
Boyd is survived by his beloved companion and best friend of 22 years, Carolyn 
Fehrn of Stockton; daughter, Debra Ripley of Idaho, stepson, Kelly Fehrn of 
Stockton; granddaughter, Chelsey Ripley of Idaho; sister, Karen Waldo of 
Stockton; sister-in-law, Jean Marlowe of South San Francisco; 4 nieces, 5 
nephews; several grandnieces and nephews; many loving extended family and 
cherished friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, Dan Godfrey and parents, Leland "Earl" & 
Pearl Godfrey.
Visitation for Boyd will be 11:00 a.m. to noon on Wednesday at Wallace Martin 
Funeral Home, 520 N. Sutter St., Stockton. Funeral services will begin at noon. 
Boyd will be laid to rest at a private ceremony at Alta Mesa Cemetery in Palo 
Alto. 
In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society are preferred.
