Robert Francis Gorden, 55, of Galt, died June 28 in Galt. He was born Sept. 10, 
1948, in Lamar, Colo.

Mr. Gorden has lived in Galt for 40 years. In 1966, he married Shirley Ann 
Weller. He was self employed doing sheet rock work in the construction industry.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Ann Gorden, of Galt; son, Christopher Wayne 
Gorden, of Galt; mother, Mary Brown, of Galt; sisters, Helen Floria, of Santa 
Clarita, Barbara Thweatt, of Stockton, and Brenda Huiras, of Galt; and three 
grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, Chuck Gorden in 1990.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the family residence 
with Pastor Mike Abdollahzadeh of Lodi Avenue Baptist Church officiating. There 
will be no visitation and committal will be private.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 207 E. 
Alpine Ave., Stockton, CA 95204; or Hospice of San Joaquin, 2609 E. Hammer 
Lane, Stockton, CA 95210-4222.
