Joan Carol (Vieira) Dyer 

Sept. 1, 1935 - Dec. 26, 2004



Joan Carol (Vieira) Dyer, 69, passed away Sunday, December 26, 2004 at Kaiser-
Walnut Creek Hospital, after a long-fought battle with cancer.
Mrs. Dyer, a retired Registered Nurse, was a graduate of Ripon High School and 
Stanford Nursing School.
Survivors include her husband Richard Sr.; children, Richard (Rebecca), Suzanne 
Higa (Steve), Sallie and William (Melinda); grandchildren Meghan Higa, Ian 
Higa, Aaron Dyer and Isabelle Dyer; sister Marilyn Stanley; and cousin Frances 
Gonsalves. She was preceded in death by her parents Leonard and Gladys Vieira 
of Stockton.
Memorial service: Tuesday, January 4, 2005, 4:00 p.m., Community Presbyterian 
Church, Danville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church. 
Private interment.
Deegan Funeral Chapel handled arrangements.
