She was born on May 18, 1916 in Alma, Wisconsin, a city located along the banks of the upper Mississippi River to William Henninger and Clara Teresa Farney. Alma graduated as an operating room surgical nurse from the University of Wisconsin in 1938. She moved to Stockton, CA in 1951 and practiced as an Oral Surgery Nurse with her late husband, Dr. Philip S. Loechler. Her local affiliates were: Friends of Norway, Philomathean Club, Stockton Chorale, Stockton Golf and Country Club, Stockton Bowling League and Medical-Dental Auxiliary. She was a former member of Cathedral of the Annunciation and current member of Church of the Presentation. Widow of Dr. Philip S. Loechler. Mother of Leonis Ann Osterdock, Marcia Clair Wadell, Alma Jean Chappell, Philip S. Loechler, Jr. and Mary M. Satterwhite. Grandmother of Renee Osterdock, Terry Osterdock, Jr., Wendy Kelly, Natalie Sanchez, Robert Wadell, Jr., Alma Ann Chappell, John Chappell, Bill Chappell, Jamie Loechler, Ryan Philip Loechler, Matthew Joseph Loechler, Ernie Satterwhite, Jason Satterwhite, Clara Satterwhite and Garrett Satterwhite. Great-grandmother of Hailey Loechler, Megan Kelly and Corey Nance. Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service at the DeYoung Shoreline Chapel, 7676 Shoreline Dr., Stockton, CA on Tuesday, January 4, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. There will be visitation at the Shoreline Chapel on Monday, January 3 at 1:00 to 7:00 p.m. Committal at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions in her memory be made to Hospice of San Joaquin or the American Cancer Society.
