He was born June 24, 1925 at Sacramento, Ca. to Carson and Helen Angele of Galt, Ca. Mr. Angele attended school in Galt playing in the band and on the football team for Galt High. Clarence was known through his life as "Ang." He graduaated in 1943 and enlisted in the coast guard, serving during World War II on the USS Carson City. His service took him to the Pacific with much of his duty inthe Aleutian Islands. In 1945 Ang married his high school sweetheart Marilyn J. Carver. He and Marilyn had three daughters making their first home ranching in Galt. In 1955 they moved to Lodi he helped with the construction and later was employed at General Mills. Clarence moved on to work for P.G.& E. In 1967 they moved to Colusa, CA. where they owned an A&W restaurant and later to Paradise, Ca. where they owned another restaurant. They retired in Paradise. After Marilyn died Clarence married Joie Pence. Ang will fondly be remembered by his love of music. He wrote, sang, and published records often recording with fellow songwriter Gene Gaither. He is survived and remembered by Joie Angele of Paradise; his three daughters, Susan Miller of Crescent City, Judy Angele of Shelby, MT, Rebecca Lorentzen of Libby, MT; and six grandchildren and eight great-grand children. Also, his sisters, Dora Hertel of Galt, Betty Bender of Fort Bragg, and a brother Merle Angele of Lodi. Also, lifelong friends Don and Helen Salisbury of Lodi and Howard and Nesa Weget of Paradise. Clarence's final resting will be at Cherokee Memorial where he will join Marilyn who preceded him in death in 2001. The family will have a private remembrance.
