Born on January 9, 1925 in Vader, WA, he was a shop supervisor at Sharpe's Army Depot for 20 years. William was a member of San Joaquin Lodge #19 F & AM, Stockton Scottish Rite Bodies, Ben Ali Temple and San Joaquin Shrine Club. He served in the Army during World War II where he participated in the Normandy Invasion and the Battle of the Bulge. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Beverly J. Hightower of Stockton. Loving father of Gail Slamon of Stockton. Grandfather of John Slamon of Stockton. Brother-in-law of Jan Tucker of Sun City, CA. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers, Eugene Hightower, Clarence Hightower and sister, Alyce Marsh. Friends are invited to attend Celebration of Life services on Thursday, January 6, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. in the Evergreen Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park.
