She was born January 14 in Berkeley, CA. She graduated from Arroyo H.S., trained at Eden Vocational and earned her RN degree from Delta JC Nursing Program. She began her nursing career at the age of 18 tending to seniors at Eden West Convalescent Hospital in Hayward, CA., cared for patients at Dameron and St. Joseph's hospitals in Stockton, was a dedicated home health nurse for U.C.D. and the Director of Nursing for Senior Haven Home Health. She was currently working at Hospice Preferred Choice where her full potential and joy in nursing was realized. Survived by husband of 30 years, Ronald Polk; son, Cory Polk and daughter, Sarah Polk, all of Stockton; her mother, Norma Loewen, and Grandmother Inez Dominici; father and stepmother, William and Bobbi Lipcon; sisters, Susan Cunningham, Dana Cooke, Alison Bacigalupo; brothers, Scott Loewen and Aaron Lipcon. She is also survived by many other family and friends that loved her. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held in Stacy's honor Saturday, January 15, 2005 in Stockton, CA. Family and friends will be invited to represent the hundreds of people Stacy's life touched.
