JT Gaylor 
January 23, 1910 - January 4, 2005



JT Gaylor, 94, passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2005. Born January 23, 1910 in 
Wagner County, Oklahoma. He was a resident of Manteca for 38 years. JT worked 
for Re-Claim Land District for the Tracy/Lathrop area for 30 years. He also was 
self employed as a farmer for a number of years. JT enjoyed boating, fishing, 
deer hunting, and he especially enjoyed bird hunting. He loved taking his 
grandchildren out camping and water skiing. He was always taking care of 
someone else, even well into his elderly years. He also loved being with young 
people and kids. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, and 
friend to many. He will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him. He 
was preceded in death by his wife, the late Thelma F. Gaylor. 
He is survived by children, Reba Gaines of Manteca, CA, Kenneth & Shirley 
Gaylor of Oklahoma, Bill & Melissa Gaylor of Oklahoma, Hattie & Tony Lewis of 
Selma, CA, Mary & Robert Payan of Manteca, CA and the late, Bobby L. Gaylor and 
Jessie P. Gaylor. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 38 great-
grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren. 
Visitation: Sunday, January 9, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Chapel 
Service: Monday, January 10, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home. 
Interment: Tracy Public Cemetery.
