Evelyn Gasser-Gruetter 
February 19, 1922 - January 6, 2005



Evelyn Gasser-Gruetter, 82, went home to be with the Lord on January 6, 2005. 
She was born on February 19, 1922 in Omemee, North Dakota. She will be laid to 
rest on January 12, 2005 with her first husband Arthur Gasser who preceded her 
in death in 1988.
She moved to Stockton in 1945 where she has worked as a Homemaker, Grocery 
Clerk, Waitress and a Bookkeeper. She was a member of ABWA, Jolly Club, Garden 
Club and the No Name Club (a group of professional women), She was also a 
member of Quail Lakes Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Walter Gruetter; children, Lois Dollarhide, 
Rodney Gasser, Richard Gruetter, Kenneth Gruetter and Brian Gruetter; her 
sisters, Jean Tohm of Minot, North Dakota and Ruth Duff of Seattle, Washington; 
11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by 2 
brothers and 2 sisters.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2005 from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 
p.m. at Wallace-Martin Funeral Home located at 520 N. Sutter St. in Stockton. A 
Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, January 12, 2005 at 12:30 p.m. at 
the Quail Lakes Baptist Church located at 1904 Quail Lakes Drive in Stockton. 
Committal will be held privately at Lodi Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers tributes may be made to Quail Lakes Baptist Church at the 
above address or Escalon Covenant Church located at 1155 Escalon Avenue in 
Escalon.
