She was born on October 20, 1919 in Melstone, Montana, the daughter of Thomas Oliver Boyd and Lulla Virginia Brown Boyd. She was a homemaker and enjoyed making German dishes that pleased everyone who tasted them. She baked wonderful cookies, and loved to embroider and sew. She came to California as a young lady, and while in Escalon, she met Edwin Felchle. They were married on her 19th birthday, on October 20, 1938, a union that was blessed with 61 years of love and devotion for each other. In 1962, they moved to Reno, NV and worshiped at "The Church" in that city. In 1970, they moved to Stockton to be near Erma's family. She was a faithful 33-year member of the Mid-Valley Church in Stockton. Mrs. Felchle was survived by her three sons, Eddie Felchle of Arkansas, Richard Felchle of Santa Rosa and Larry Felchle of Stockton; her daughter, Sandra Driscoll of Stockton; two sisters, Mae Heck of Patterson and Hester Brown; eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a host of other relatives and loving friends. Friends are invited to attend visitations Tuesday, January 11, 2005 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Frisbie-Warren & Carroll Mortuary, 809 N. California Street in Stockton. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, January 12, 2005 at 10:00 a.m at the mortuary. Committal and interment will be private at Cherokee Memorial Park in Lodi.
