Jerry Watson
Jerry T. Watson, 79, of Galt, died Jan. 4 in Lodi. He was born May 8, 1925, in 
Portsmouth, Iowa.

Mr. Watson moved to Galt at the age of 10 with his family. He served in the 
U.S. Coast Guard from 1943-46 during World War II.

He moved to Nebraska where he married LaVose Lungren in 1951 in Omaha. He was 
self employed as an owner and operator in the trucking industry until his 
retirement in 1987, and then he moved to Galt with his wife in 1988. He enjoyed 
horses, music, gardening and cooking.

He is survived by his wife, LaVose Watson, of Galt; daughter, Joan Demgen, of 
Diablo; and three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Galt Funeral Home 
with Chaplain Tony Berry officiating. A reception will follow at Heritage Park 
Clubhouse in Galt. There will be no visitation and committal will be private.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Lodi Unit, 
207 E. Alpine Ave., Stockton, CA 95204.
