Woodrow Wilson Griffith 
July 10, 1912 - January 6, 2005



Woodrow Wilson Griffith, 92, passed away Thursday, January 6, 2005 in Stockton, 
CA. He was born July 10, 1912 in Carroll County, Arkansas to Thompie Arthur and 
Amanda McKinney Griffith, who preceded him in death. His brother, William Henry 
Jack Griffith and his sister, Bessie Newberry preceded him in death, and he is 
survived by his sister, Goldie Gladys Newberry of Green Forest, Arkansas. Also 
preceded in death by his first wife, Lorraine Gray Griffith and his second 
wife, Ruby Griffith. He leaves behind two sons, Kelly Griffith and wife, 
Darlene of Portola, CA and Don Griffith of Stockton. He also left behind his 
grandchildren, Terry and Brenda Griffith, Ron Griffith, Debra Griffith and 
Sonya Griffith, all of Stockton; many great-grandchildren; four stepchildren, 
Elain Thompson and Fred Morris of Stockton, Penney Morris of Monterey, Pat 
Hanks of Sandy, OR and some step-grandchildren.
Before he moved to California, he made his home in Green Forest, Arkansas, 
where he owned and operated a family style drug store. After moving to 
California, he worked at the Yosemite Club across from the courthouse in 
Stockton. He served some of the most successful men in San Joaquin County 
before he retired.
Services will be held at Alternative Burial, 445 N. American St., Stockton, 
Wednesday, January 12, 2005 at 10:00 a.m.
