Robert E. Nugent 
Sept. 9, 1920 - Jan. 7, 2005



Robert E. Nugent entered into rest on January 7, 2005 of natural causes. He was 
84 years old. He was born on September 9, 1920, in Santa Monica, CA. He was the 
loving husband of Mildred Nugent for 58 years. He was a graduate of Livingston 
High School and attended Modesto Junior College until he enlisted in the Army 
Air Corps during World War II. He served in the South Pacific until being 
discharged. He worked at Fiberboard Paper Products for 28 years until retiring 
from there and then worked for Fritz Grupe for eleven years. He was active with 
the Sunset Little League for many years. He loved fishing in the delta, flying 
stunt kites at Seacliff Beach and was involved in many activities with his 
great-grandchildren. Robert was the second oldest of five children of Lee M. 
Nugent. 
Robert is survived by his wife, Mildred of Stockton, CA; son, Gary Nugent of 
Modesto, CA; daughter, Sandi Luck of Stockton, CA; five grandchildren, Michael 
Nugent of Oceana Naval Air Station in Virginia Beach, VA; Shelley Liechty of 
Stockton, CA; Michael Whitaker of Elma, WA; Bret Harvey of Turlock, CA; Donna 
Yocum of Modesto, CA; ten great-grandchildren and his brother, John Nugent of 
Fresno, CA. 
His committal is being handled by the Neptune Society. His wishes were for no 
services but those who knew and loved him, knows he will be deeply missed by 
all. 
The family request in lieu of flowers sent to the house, that donations to 
their favorite charity be made in Roberts name.
