John Edward Gaines, 70, passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2005 in Stockton, CA. 
He was born August 29, 1934 in Alabama. He retired as an auto mechanic at 
Geweke Ford of 21 years. John was a loving, caring husband, father, grandfather 
and friend. 
John is survived by his loving wife, Earnestine Gaines; four daughters, Lisa 
Goodwin, Stacey Gaines, Dorothy Gray and Shirley McCoy; two sons, Johnnie 
Gaines and Leroy Gaines of Stockton, CA.
Services: Wednesday, January 12, 2005, 11:00 a.m. at 1st Thessalonians M.C., 
1940 S. Drake St., Stockton. Visitation, Tuesday, January 11, 12:00-5:00 p.m. 
and Quiet Hour, 6:00-7:00 p.m. at Thompson Memorial Chapel, Stockton. Committal 
at Farmington Cemetery. www.thompson memorialchapel.com.
