Lang August 30, 1916 - January 9, 2005 Our beloved Marvin R. Lang went to be with our Lord on Sunday, January 9, 2005. He was born August 30, 1916 in Beiseker, Alberta, Canada. Marvin worked on the family farm growing up. He then served in the Canadian Army and worked in an ink factory. Marvin met Eva Sarah Bird in Toronto, Canada and they were married on May 17, 1955. Together they moved to Lodi, CA where they made their permanent home. Marvin worked as a mason for ME&M Construction until he retired in August of 1981. After retirement he served as a volunteer at the Stockton Food Bank for many years. Marvin's hobbies included gardening, horseback riding and visiting with friends and family. His greatest joy in life was helping others. Marvin was a little man but had a big heart. Everyone who knew Marvin loved him and he will be missed. He is survived by his wife Eva of Lodi; daughter and son-in-law Sandra and Steve Olds of Victor, MT; granddaughter Caitlyn of Victor, granddaughter Rachel Wallace of San Antonio, TX, great-grand- daughter, MacKenzie Wallace, brother, Harry Lang of Surrey, B.C., sister, Edna Collins of Surrey, B.C., and sister, Irene Prier of Leduc, Alberta, Canada. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 16, 2005 at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home (831 East Industrial Way, Lodi) from 1 - 5 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 17, at 10:00 a.m. at the Evergreen Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park.
