George Benjamin Wilson 
April 23, 1934 - January 10, 2005



George Benjamin Wilson, 70, passed away Monday, January 10, 2005. He was born 
April 23, 1934. George was a lifetime resident of Stockton and attended Edison 
High School. He served briefly in the U.S. Air Force. George was a talented 
general contractor for 35 years. He was active in the Cathedral of the 
Annunciation Parish as a eucharistic minister, in prayer meetings and bible 
studies. He was a member of the Businessman's Breakfast Club and was an avid 
fisherman since his youth. Some of his favorite passions were gardening, fine 
carpentry and making great ham hocks and beans and Menudo.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Josephine Parker, his eldest son, 
Gregory Benjamin Wilson and sister, Dolores Wilson. He is survived by sons, 
Jeffrey Daniel Wilson and George James Wilson; daughters, Julie Wilson Ganz and 
Gina Wilson Moreno; sister, Mary Lou McNeil and many grandchildren. Also 
survived by his wife of his prior second marriage, Esther Silva; his 
stepchildren, Rebecca Silva, Dave Silva and Theresa Silva and many nieces, 
nephews and cousins.
A Prayer Vigil will be held Wednesday, January 19, 2005, 7:00 p.m. at Cathedral 
of the Annunciation, 400 W. Rose St., Stockton. A Memorial Mass will be offered 
for George on Thursday, January 20, 2:00 p.m. at the Cathedral, followed by 
interment of his cremated remains at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery. Family and 
friends are invited to attend a reception at the Cathedral following interment.
