Mary A. Wallace (Gilmore) 
July 18, 1922 - January 4, 2005



Mrs. Mary A. Wallace (Gilmore), 82, of Stockton, passed away on January 4, 2005 
at a Stockton convalescent hospital after an illness. A native Californian, she 
was born on July 18, 1922 in Sacramento, the daughter of Warren S. Gilmore and 
Bertha Barkaus Gilmore. After graduating from Lincoln High School, she attended 
Placer Junior College and Mt. Zion School of Nursing in San Francisco 
graduating a registered nurse. She worked as a registered nurse for four 
decades. She held professional licenses in both California and Nevada, and 
worked for several physicians in private practice, as well a as for various 
hospital, becoming Director of Nurses in a Stockton convalescent hospital. She 
held a private pilot's license, and enjoyed flying with her husband throughout 
the Western United States, Canada and Alaska.
Mrs. Wallace is survived by her husband of 59 years, Wilbur R. Wallace of 
Stockton; her son, Jeffrey A. Wallace of Thomaston, GA; three grandchildren; 
and her sister, Evelyn Crouch of Oregon. Also survived by other relatives and 
loving friends.
Friends are invited to attend visitations from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 
13, 2005, at Frisbie-Warren & Carroll Mortuary, 809 N. California Street in 
Stockton. A Graveside Committal Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 
14, 2005, at Gold Hill Cemetery, 900 Gold Hill Road in Newcastle, CA. 
To honor her memory, contributions to the Parkinson's Institute, 1170 Morse 
Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94089 are preferred.
