Christine Janis Tadd Mead 
Sept. 9, 1938 – Jan. 1, 2005



Christine Janis Tadd Mead, 66, of Stockton, entered into rest on Saturday, 
January 1, 2005 at a French Camp hospital following an illness. She was born on 
September 9, 1938 in the Sonora area of Mt. House, the daughter of Mr. Brown 
Tadd and Mrs. Alice Bailey Tadd. Christine worked as a Dietitian for a State 
hospital, and also as a cosmetologist. She was proud of her Native American 
heritage and was a member of the Tuolumne Band of Me-Wuk.
Christine is survived by her beloved husband, Neal H. Mead of Stockton, and a 
host of loving relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents 
and her sister, Janet Tadd Vasquez.
Friends are invited to join the family at a Celebration of Life from 12 Noon to 
6 p.m., on Saturday, January 15, 2005 at the Tuolumne Rancheria Tribal 
Building, 19595 Miwi Street in Sonora. Committal will be private. 
To honor her memory, contributions may be made to the Tuolumne Me-Wuk Tribal 
Council, P.O. Box 699, Tuolumne, CA 95379 or a charity of the donor's choice.
