He was born in Stockton, California on September 18, 1920. Beloved son of the late Senkichi and Kane (Kameda) Fukuyama. Youngest brother of Hiroshi Fukuyama and the late Flora Chiyo Suzuki, Kiyoe Fukuyama, Helen Fumie Arakawa, and Jack Shigeji Fukuyama. He attended local Stockton schools, served in the U.S. Army military services during World War II as an interpreter and retired after 30 years of service as an investigator for the Department of Motor Vehicles. Survived by wife Kimiko Fukuyama; sons, Allan (Valerie) Fukuyama, Stephen Fukuyama, Ronald Fukuyama, James (Kirsten) Fukuyama; 5 grandchildren, in addition to several nieces and nephews. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sokoji Soto Mission at 1691 Laguna St., in San Francisco; and on January 17, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the Stockton Buddhist Temple, 2820 Shimizu Dr., in Stockton.
