Richard Unger
Richard William Unger, 92, of Lodi, died Jan. 16 in a local hospital. He was 
born Dec. 23, 1912, in Manitoba, Canada.

Mr. Unger worked as a plumber and pipe fitter for 35 years, and was a member of 
the Plumber and Pipe Fitters Union Local 38 in San Francisco. He was a member 
of the Lodi Community Church, and was active in the Church of God (Anderson) 
movement in San Francisco and throughout the country.

He is survived by his son, Thomas W. Unger, of Lodi; step-son, Peggy Powell, of 
Bandon, Ore.; and sister, Betty Taylor, of Sanger.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Ruby C. Unger.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. today at Lodi Memorial Park and 
Cemetery, 5750 E. Pine Street, Lodi, with Pastor Kevin Suess of Lodi Community 
Church officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to noon today at 
Rocha's Mortuary, 215 S. School Street, Lodi.

Rocha's Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
