She was born March 15, 1908, in Chicago, Ill., where she was raised and graduated from high school. Mrs. Heady married Michael Angarola in 1929, and they settled in Nachez, Miss. They moved to Alexandria, La. in 1941, and then to Lodi in 1966. In 1971, she moved to Hesperia and returned to Lodi in 1997. Emma Heady She was a former member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Alexandria, La. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for many years, and served in many official capacities as auxiliary president of the George M. Simmons Unit No. 3, and also as Louisiana Department VA Representative for the 6th, 7th and 8th districts for three years. She was the first president of World War I Auxiliary Cenla Barracks No. 2100 in Alexandria. She helped organize the Girl Scouts at Our Lady of Prompt Succor, and was the leader of two troops for three years. She also served as an 8th district girls state chairman. She was a member of the Hesperia Leisure League, where she was a pianist for the boys choir for many years. She was also affiliated with T.B. Seals, Red Cross, March of Dimes, Community Chest, and the American Cancer Society. She was a member of the Lodi Woman's Club, 50 Plus Club, and Newcomer's Club. She enjoyed playing the piano, accordion and organ. She is survived by her daughters, Mary M. Yates, of Lodi, and Barbara J. Fillette, of Redding; brother, Jerry Lino, of Hesperia; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Michael J. Angarola; second husband, Aloysius Babe Heady; and sister, Rose Rueff. There will be no services. A virtual register book may be signed at www.lodifuneralhome.com.
