Bernice Rose Holcomb 
Aug. 30, 1938 - Jan. 13, 2005



Bernice Holcomb, a resident of Stockton for the last 12 years, died Thursday, 
January 13, 2005 at home after a long illness. Bernice was born and raised in 
Dillon, Montana before marrying and moving to California in 1963. Bernice loved 
entertaining, good food, country music, concerts and visiting local casinos. 
She also took great pride in both her home and yard. Her favorite flower was 
the rose. 
She is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil, with whom she built a railroad 
construction company that has become one of the most successful in the country. 
She is survived by her sister, Lillian Parfitt of Vallejo, CA; her children 
Doug Reynolds and his wife Kathy, Bonnie Fetters, Tracy Reynolds, Mark Shane 
Reynolds and her stepson, Kevin Holcomb and his wife Beth. She is survived by 
five grandchildren Anthony, Shannel, Timothy, Rebekah and Jennifer and one 
great-grandchild Cassandra. Bernice will be missed by all who were blessed to 
know her and enjoy her abundant humor, sweet love, warm smile and cute laugh.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 21, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. in the 
Evergreen Chapel of Cherokee Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at Cherokee 
Memorial Funeral Home, 831 E. Industrial Way, Lodi on Thursday, January 20 from 
1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
