Risch Feb. 15, 1923 - Jan. 15, 2005 Raymond R. Risch, 81 of Stockton, passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2005. He was one of ten children, born in Oakland, CA on February 15, 1923. Ray served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII as a tail gunner in the Pacific. After the war, he returned to Oakland where he became a fire fighter serving the city for 27 years. He lived in San Leandro for 28 years before moving to Stockton 8 years ago. He retired 31 years ago. Survivors include his wife, Beverly "Billie" Risch of Stockton; 3 daughters Terrie Thorslev, Dori Lang and Jeanette Cockrum all of Napa; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 4 sisters and 1 brother. A celebration of his Life will be held at a later date in Napa and inurnment will be at Chapel of the Chimes in Oakland. Donations may be made to Hospice of San Joaquin, 3888 Pacific Ave., Stockton, CA 95204-1953. Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
