Mr. Douglas was born in Ashdown, Arkansas. He was one of 4 brothers and 3 sisters all of whom have preceded him in home going. He joined the Army in 1942 where he served in Australia with the last of the mounted calvary. He received an honorable discharge in 1944. He was a warehouseman at Sharpe Army Depot and worked in construction in Stockton and the Mother Lode. He is survived by a son, Robert Guidry of Los Angeles and a daughter, Francine Guidry of Stockton; nephews, Willie Bell of Berkeley, James Bell of Stockton, CA, and Willie B. Anderson of Sacramento, CA and a niece, Jaunita Thompson of Stockton. He is also survived by many friends, nephews and cousins in Stockton, Fresno and Los Angeles. Visitation will be held Thursday, from 9 - 5 p.m. at Jesse E. Cooley, Jr. Funeral Service, 640 N. California St. Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday at Jesse E. Cooley, Jr. Funeral Service with committal to follow at the Stockton Rural Cemetery.
