Ervin L. Souza
Aug. 20, 1927 — April 8, 2004

Services will be Wednesday for longtime Tracy resident Ervin L. Souza, 76, who 
died Thursday at Dameron Hospital in Stockton.
A native of Oakland, Mr. Souza lived in Tracy 21 years. He was a retired welder.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and he also served in the U.S. 
Coast Guard. 
Mr. Souza was a member of the Sheriff’s Team of Active Retired Seniors, and he 
was a past member of both the 1491 Camper Club of Castro Valley and of the 
Castro Valley Moose Club Lodge 1491.
He enjoyed building model airplanes, mowing the lawn, hunting, fishing and 
attending minor league baseball games. He also enjoyed spending time with his 
family.
Mr. Souza is survived by his girlfriend, Sarah Christman; three daughters, Mary 
Lynch of Tracy, Barbara Garcia, and her husband, Jerry, of Union City, and 
Joann Neveu, and her husband, Jim, of San Leandro; a sister, Deanna Bogue of 
Hayward; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
His wife, Sylvia M. Souza, preceded him in death. 
Wednesday’s services will be at 10:30 a.m. at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. 
Central Ave., where visitation will be observed from 1 to 5 p.m. today. 
Interment will be in Tracy Cemetery.

Association, 1212 W. Robinhood Drive, Ste. D, Stockton 95207; or American
