Schmidke Dec. 20, 1918 - Jan. 18, 2005 Lee C. Schmidke passed away in a hospital in Stockton on January 18, 2005. He was 86 years old. He was born on December 20, 1918 in Bethune, Colorado. He lived in Lodi for 70 years. Lee took alot of pride and loved farming and taking care of his ranch for 30 years and he also owned and operated Delta Auto Wreckers for 70 years. When Lee was a young man he served in the United States Army and was very proud of his service in WWII where he served honorably. He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Alice K. Schmidke of Lodi. Two loving children, Steven Schmidke of Manteca, Sandra King of Stockton and one sister, Miriam Werner of Galt. Lee was a very cherished grandpa to his 4 grandchildren and 1 great grand-child and he loved them dearly with all of his heart. He loved traveling and spending quality time with his family. Lee will be dearly missed. There will be a Funeral service to celebrate Lee's life on Monday, January 24, 2005 at 12:00 p.m. The service will take place at the Chapel of Flowers Chero- kee Memorial Park, Hwy 99 and East Harney Lane, Lodi. There will be a visitation on Sunday, January 23, 2005 from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The visitation will be held at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home, 831 Industrial Way, Lodi, CA.
