Madden Jr. 
May 4, 1939 - January 20, 2005



William 'Billy' C. Madden Jr. died peacefully at St. Joseph Hospital on January 
20, 2005 after a long battle with mesothelioma. 
He is survived by his three children, John C. Madden, Nicholaus Madden and 
Michelle Tenge-Ritberg; his 5 grandchildren, and ex-wife, Diane Madden. 
Lifetime achievements include a Master's Degree, Economics, University of New 
Mexico, 1962; Peace Corps Volunteer, Jamaica, 1963-1965; Edison High School and 
Delta Junior College teacher, 1987-2003. He was also an accomplished fisherman 
and a talented artist. Bill will be remembered as a great educator, personal 
counselor, mentor and beloved father. 
Memorial services will be held on January 25, 1:00 p.m. at DeYoung Memorial 
Chapel, 601 N. California St., Stockton, 95202.
