Charles Van Steyn 
Charles Theodore Van Steyn Sr., 72, of Galt, died Jan. 23 at his home. He was 
born Nov. 16, 1932, in Sacramento County.

Mr. Van Steyn was an owner and operator in the trucking industry for 40 years. 
He was an elder at New Life Community Church and enjoyed singing in the choir. 

He is survived by his sons, Charles Van Steyn Jr. and David Van Steyn, both of 
Galt; daughter, Leslie Loveland, of Texas; brother, David Van Steyn, of 
Fairfield; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores in 2004.

A memorial service will be held at noon Saturday with Pastor Richard 
Christensen officiating. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall.

Ben Salas Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
