Irene E. Mayfield 
Aug. 22, 1911 - Jan. 22, 2005



Irene E. Mayfield, 93, of Stockton passed away in a Lodi hospital on Saturday, 
January 22, 2005. She was born on August 22, 1911 in Menomonie, Wisconsin and 
came to Southern California during WWII. She then moved to Sacramento in 1970 
and retired from Sears as a bookkeeper after 30 years. After retirement in the 
early 1980's, she moved to Paradise, CA before coming to Lodi in 1999 and to 
Stockton in 2003. 
She is survived by 2 daughters, Charene and her husband, Dean Morris of 
Stockton, Shannon Greenly of Alpharetta, GA; 4 grandchildren, Melodye, Mandie, 
Michael and Mark; 2 great-grand-children, Mikaela and Daniel; 1 sister, 
Lorraine Peterson of Phoenix, Arizona.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at 
Morris Chapel on the campus of the University of the Pacific. Burial will be at 
the St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in the family plot in Menomonie, Wisconsin. 
Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
