Rafaela Guzman Sanchez, 87, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2005. She was 
born October 24, 1917 in Guadalajara, Mexico. Rafaela loved gardening, sewing, 
her animals and singing. She loved cooking for her family and friends.
Beloved wife of the late Heraclio Sanchez. Loving mother of Frank Rodriguez of 
Planada, Ralph Rodriguez of Las Vegas, Margaret Smith of Palm Springs, Philip 
Perez of Merced, Mario Perez of Stockton, Helen Sloan of Lodi, Julia Wagenhals 
of Stockton, Lucy Sanchez of Georgia, Heraclio "Eric" Sanchez of Stockton, 
Michael Sanchez of Stockton, Sarah Sanchez Varela of Stockton, the late 
Consuelo Sanchez and the late Maria Sanchez. Dear sister of Aurora Hernandez, 
Fernando Guzman and Victoria Garduno, all of Stockton. Grandmother of 29, great-
grandmother of 46 and great-great-grandmother of 2.
Friends are invited to attend funeral services Tuesday, February 1, 2005 at 
9:30 a.m. from the Chapel of the Palms Funeral Home, 303 S. California St., 
Stockton, thence to St. George's Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 
a.m. A Rosary will be recited Monday evening at 6:00 p.m. in the Mortuary 
Chapel. Visitation will be Sunday, 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m. and Monday, 10:00 
a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Committal at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery.
