Cechini Oct. 12, 1914 - January 27, 2005 John B. Cechini, 90, passed away Thursday, January 27, 2005 in Stockton, CA. He was born in Stockton, CA on October 12, 1934. He attended local elementary schools and graduated from Stockton High School in June, 1933. He graduated from University of Pacific in June, 1937 with high scholastic and athletic honors. He graduated from University of Louisville Law School in June, 1942, and served in the armed forces for four years. He was discharged in June, 1946 as a Captain in the Air Force. He started his law practice in Stockton, CA in July, 1946. In September of 1946, he married his war-time sweetheart, Agnes Miller of Lucasville, Ohio. In 1958 he was elected Municipal Court Judge. In 1966 he was elected, Superior Court Judge and retired January 1, 1980. He was a past president of Stockton Downtown Lions Club, a member of Elks, American Legion and Sons of Italy. He was one of the original founders of the Stockton Boys and Girls Club. He was the husband of Agnes Cechini; father of two children, John Steven Cechini and daughter, Paula Benjestorf; grandfather of seven: Heidi and Joshua Benjestorf and Patrick, Bridget, Shawn, Reanna and Courtney Cechini. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, which will be celebrated on Thursday, February 3, 2005 at 11:00 a.m at the Church of the Presentation, 1515 West Benjamin Holt Drive, Stockton, CA. Visitation will be on Tuesday and Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. at DeYoung Shoreline Chapel, 7676 Shoreline Drive, Stockton. Committal will be at Cherokee Memorial Park, Lodi.
