Harvey Edwards Aug. 18, 1925 - January 27, 2005 C. Harvey Edwards, 79, of Stockton, passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2005 in a local hospital. Born on August 18, 1925, he was an operating engineer with Local #3 and in that profession for 55 years. Harvey was a 40+ year member of Morning Star Lodge #68 F & AM and recipient of the Blue Cup Award in 1973 and the Hiram Award in 2002, KCCH with Stockton Scottish Rite Bodies, Ben Ali Shrine Temple, San Joaquin Shrine Club, Tokay Shrine Club, Mother Lode Shrine Club, Escalon Shrine Club, Ben Ali Legion of Honor, Ben Ali Peace Officers, Ben Ali Bedouins, Ben Ali Hillbilly Clan, Royal Order of Scotland, Robert the Bruce, past Humbug of E. Clampus Vitus, Stockton Police Reserve and Police Reserve shooting Team. He received the Reserve of the Year Award in 1979. Harvey enjoyed hunting, camping, traveling, photography, his dogs, cooking and entertaining. He served in World War II as a gunner in the Army Air Corp. Harvey is survived by his wife of 34 years, Marian E. Edwards of Stockton. Uncle of Richard Ariff of Lodi; cousin to William Edwards of TX and numerous other cousins. Friends are invited to attend Memorial Masonic Services on Thursday, February 3, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. in the Stockton Scottish Rite Masonic Center, 33 W. Alpine Ave., Stockton, Morning Star Lodge officiating. Visitation hours are Saturday and Sunday, 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home, 831 Industrial Way at Beckman Rd., Lodi. Private graveside services will be held on Tuesday in Park View Cemetery. Max Carroll of Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions to the Shriner's Children's Hospital, 2425 Stockton Blvd., Sacramento, CA 95817, are preferred.
