He was born Dec. 27, 1938, in Hanford. Mr. Fair moved to Stockton as an infant with his family, and then to Morada in the early 1950s. He graduated from Lodi High School in 1958. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany when the Berlin Wall went up. He worked for 20 years at Stephen's Marine in Stockton before moving to Las Vegas, where he worked as a cabinet maker. After seven years, he moved back to Stockton where he worked in the structure shop at the University of the Pacific until his retirement in 2001. He was a member of the Teamsters Local Union, and a member of the Stockton Division of the California Striped Bass Association. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Kathleen Fair; daughters, Karen Buchanan and Bobbie McKee, both of Stockton; sons, Dr. Raj Pradhan, of Chicago, and Nicky Fair, of Spokane, Wash.; brother, Elbert Fair, of Stockton; and 11 grandchildren. A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Discovery Free Will Baptist Church, 10300 N. Hwy. 99, Stockton. Visitation will be held from noon to 7 p.m. Tuesday at DeYoung Shoreline Chapel, and at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Committal will be held at Cherokee Memorial Park. Reception will follow at Discovery Church. DeYoung Shoreline Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
