James Leonard McAlpine 
Aug. 27, 1911 - January 30, 2005



James Leonard McAlpine, 93, was born August 27, 1911 and passed away peacefully 
on Sunday, January 30, 2005. He was born in Kregs, Oklahoma and came to 
California with his beloved late wife, Janice, as a young man and lived in 
Stockton for over 60 years. He owned and ran Dunne's Shoe Store in downtown 
Stockton for many years until his retirement in 1978. 
He was the loving father of Jim McAlpine and wife, Marie of Santa Rosa, CA, 
Steve McAlpine and wife, Jill of Marina, CA and Robert McAlpine and wife, Judy 
of Aloha, OR. He was the proud grandfather of Jim McAlpine of Lake Tahoe, CA, 
Molly McAlpine of Hollywood, CA, Stacey Bucker of Seaside, CA, Jennifer 
Kadjevich of Monterey, CA and great-grandfather to Nicholas Kadjevich.
He was a loving and gentle man and will be missed by his family.
Private services are being held and internment will be at Cherokee Memorial 
Park in Lodi, CA. Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home, Lodi, in care of 
arrangements.
