Alice Claire Fontaine Tinnin 
Feb. 4, 1928 - January 30, 2005



Alice Claire Fontaine Tinnin, 76, passed away Sunday, January 30, 2005. She was 
born February 4, 1928 in Ponteix, Saskatchewan, Canada to Armand and Germaine 
Fontaine. She married Lawrence L. Tinnin September 8, 1951 in Victoria, British 
Columbia, Canada. They moved to Stockton in 1957. Alice was the first female 
insurance inspector for Equifax Company in the state of Califonria.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence; mother; father; stepfather, 
Dallord Jacob; four sisters, Irene Roskamp, Laurette Turcott, Armande Bolduc 
and Juliette Townsend.
She is survived by her children, Robert, Roberta, Roger and Rene Tinnin, all of 
California and Rita Lee of Texas; four brothers, Lawrence, Raymond and Victor 
Fontaine and Maurice Jacob, all of Canada; 10 grandchildren, two great-grand-
children; two step-grand-daughters and three step-great-grandchildren of 
Oklahoma.
Alice was loved by all and will be missed by all. She was a great mother and 
friend.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, February 4, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. 
at St. Gertrude's Catholic Church, 1663 E. Main St., Stockton. Visitation will 
be held Thursday, February 3 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 6:00 
p.m. at Wallace-Martin Funeral Home, 520 N. Sutter St., Stockton. Committal at 
San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery.
