Leinfelder May 29, 1924 - January 29, 2005 On January 29, 2005, Richard C. Leinfelder entered into eternal rest and peace. Born May 29, 1924 in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. Richard is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Anita Stewart Leinfelder. They met in 1945 when Richard sailed into the Port of Stockton with the Navy, marking the beginning of their beautiful life together. They married four years later in 1949 and moved to Dallas, Texas where Richard had previously attended SMU. He started his own successful home building business, which continued over three decades. They returned to Stockton in 1975 and farmed locally for the past 29 years. He also is survived by 5 children, their spouses, 12 grandchildren, and two brothers: Donald and Linda Leinfelder (Matthew, Michelle, David); Dennis and Pauline Leinfelder; Belinda and Dave Squires (Ryan, Andrew, Emily); Lynette and Dave Magnino (Ryan, Brenden, Madeline,Dalton); Renelle and Harold Hood (Jake and Ben); and brothers Edward (Dawson, TX) and Lucien (Dallas, TX) His family and many dear friends remember Richard lovingly as a hard worker, loyal to his family and commitments, and a man of great humility. He is preceded in death by parents Cyril and Lucia Leinfelder. Always a gentleman, Richard quietly touched the lives of many, perhaps unknowingly, with his subtle wit, life-experience and wisdom, and heartfelt compassion. He served on the Escalon Unified School District school board from 1976 to 1985. His family attended St. Michael's parish and, for the past 12 years, the Cathedral of the Annunciation. Richard gave his selfless support and love to his entire family attending their events, performances, and fundraisers, however, always enjoying "family-time-at-home" the most -- gathering walnuts with grandchildren, sharing the joys of farming, and simple gardening and yard work. He will endure forever in our hearts as a noble man who was happiest taking care of his wife and family. Private family services. Donations may be made to the Cathedral of the Annunciation Parish or to your favorite charity.
