Robert Froehlich 
Robert A. Foehlich, 81, of Lodi, died Feb. 3 in a local convalescent hospital. 
He was born Oct. 1, 1923, in Beausejour, Manitoba, Canada.

Mr. Foehlich lived in Lodi for about 35 years. He worked as a welder and steel 
fabricator for about 41 years, and also worked in equipment maintenance for San 
Joaquin County. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lodi, and the 
Stockton Lapidary Club. He enjoyed fixing things and helping people. 

He is survived by his wife, Violet Froehlich, of Lodi; daughters, Melody 
Simmons, of Fairbanks, Alaska, Deirdre Froehlich, of Portland, Ore., and 
Nicolette Froehlich, of Acampo; and ten grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters.

A traditional church service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Monday at St. Paul 
Lutheran Church, 701 S. Pleasant Ave., with the Rev. Russ Creydt officiating. 
Committal will follow at Lodi Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran 
Church Organ Fund, 701 S. Pleasant Ave., Lodi, CA 95240. Rocha's Mortuary is in 
charge of arrangements
