Born in Oklahoma, she lived in Tracy about 30 years. She owned and operated Melody Hair Fashions in Tracy 25 years. After living in Tracy, she was a missionary in the Philippines and Arizona 15 years. For the past four years, she lived in Stockton. Mrs. Groll was a member of the New Life Foursquare Fellowship in Stockton. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, decorating her home and spending time in her garden. Mrs. Groll is survived by a daughter, Stephanie Makelim of Acampo; a son, Stephen Groll of Palm Springs; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Her husbands, Bill Groll and Bill Stewart, preceded her in death. Tuesday’s services will be at 1 p.m. at the Evergreen Chapel in Cherokee Memorial Park, Highway 99 at Harney Lane, in Lodi. Visitation will be observed from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home, 831 Industrial Way, in Lodi. Interment will be in Cherokee Memorial Park.
