Mr. Wingfield was born in LaFayette, GA on July 28, 1944 to Howard and Etta Wingfield. He served in the U.S. Army in Viet Nam. Benjamin moved to California in 1968, working for the U.S. Post Office from 1968-1983 as a mailman. He had been a member of the American Legion at the Rio Linda Post. He enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening and plants and collecting coins. Mr. Wingfield is survived by his children, Bonita Wingfield and Anthony Wingfield of Stockton; companion of 23 years, Juanita Gonzales of Lodi; step- children, Robin Gonzales of Rio Linda and John Gonzales of Sacramento; 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Harold Wingfield of LaFayette, GA. He was preceded in death by sisters, Irene Bruce and Wanda Durning and brother, Budd Wingfield. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, February 9th at 2:00 p.m. at Lodi Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mike Castillo officiating. There is no visitation, and committal is private.
