Jean Pettichord 
Jean E. Pettichord, 96, of Lodi, died Feb. 11 in her home.

She was born on May 19, 1908, in Hazelton, Iowa. She came to the Santa Clara 
Valley area in 1947 with her husband and together they lived in Sunnyvale for 
many years. She came to Lodi in 1986. Jean worked for the Emporium in San Jose 
for 10 years and retired in 1970. In her younger years, she loved gardening. 

She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Rupert, of Lodi; sisters, Marion 
Bergman, and Jessie Weisert, of Iowa; three grandsons, 9 great-grandchildren, 
and one great-great-granddaughter.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Cherokee Memorial Park. 
There will be no visitation at the family's request.

Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
