Ruth Helen Winges 

Oct. 29, 1915 - January 24, 2005



Ruth Winges passed away peacefully on January 24, 2005 in a convalescent home 
in Redmond, Washington at the age of 89. Ruth was born in Queens, New York in 
1915 and married George C. Winges in 1936. They moved to Stockton in 1946 after 
the war. Ruth was the widow of George C. Winges who passed away in March 2000, 
and Ruth continued to live in Stockton until 2003. Ruth Winges was a primary 
school secretary for the Stockton Unified School District for over 2 decades, 
and spent most of her years at Harrison School. Ruth was also an avid volunteer 
as a "pink lady" at St. Joseph's Hospital in her later years.
She is survived by her two sons, Jerry L. Winges of Hillsborough, CA, and Kirk 
D. Winges of Redmond, Washington, and 4 grandchildren. 
The family asks that any memorial donations in her honor be sent to St. 
Joseph's Hospital in Stockton.
