Mateo "Mat" Asis 
June 6, 1942 - February 11, 2005



Mateo Distajo "Mat" Asis passed away on Friday, February 11, 2005 at St. 
Joseph's Medical Center.
He was the beloved husband of Grace Asis of Stockton and the loving father of 
Matthew Asis of Daly City, Elaine Samborski of Stockton, Diana Asis of Stockton 
and Daniel Moncrief of Ripon. He was the devoted grandfather of Brandon Tagupa, 
Kara Tagupa, Aaron Tagupa, Morgan Cabaccang, Tory Samborski and Nathan 
Samborski. He is also survived by his brother Jorge Asis and his sisters, Lita 
Evangelista and Luz Cupida of the Philipines.
Friends are invited to attend a Vigil Service at DeYoung Shoreline Chapel, 7676 
Shoreline Drive, Stockton, CA and a Mass of Christian Burial at Church of the 
Presentation, 1515 West Benjamin Holt Drive, Stockton. Date and Times of 
services are pending. Visitation will be at DeYoung Shoreline Chapel, 7676 
Shoreline Drive, prior to the day of the service. Committal will be at San 
Joaquin Catholic Cemetery.
