Larry Bishop Purviance 
Dec. 27, 1951 - Feb. 13, 2005



Larry Bishop Purviance, of Linden, age 53 years, passed away on February 13, 
2005, as a result of injuries sustained in an accident near Linden. He was born 
on December 27, 1951 in San Jose, California. The family returned to Linden 
when Larry was 3 years of age, where he has resided since. He graduated from 
Linden High School, then worked with his father for Purviance Drillers as a 
pump installer. He also was employed as a mechanic and iron worker. He enjoyed 
racing, camping, boating, swimming, and numerous other out-door activities. 
Larry is survived by his son, Ricky Bishop Purviance of Stockton; parents, 
Randy and Betty Purviance of Pioneer; sister, Shirley Quilici of Modesto; 
grandchildren, Ashley and Dominic Purviance of Stockton; and a nephew, Kevin 
Quilici of Turlock. He was preceded in death by a nephew, Mark Quilici in 2001.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 17, 1:00 p.m. in the Linden 
First Baptist Church, 17580 E. Hwy 26 in Linden. Committal will follow in the 
Linden Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 16, 2:00 -8:00 
p.m. at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home, 831 Industrial Way near Beckman Road in 
Lodi. Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
