A native of French Camp, Mr. O’Bad worked at the Defense Distribution Center San Joaquin warehouse in Tracy 20 years. He attended Tracy schools. Mr. O’Bad served in the U.S. Army from 1945 to 1947. He enjoyed working in his vegetable garden, especially growing tomatoes, which he shared with friends and family. He will be remembered as a kind and caring man. Mr. O’Bad is survived by a brother, Paul O’Bad of Tracy. Brothers Nick and Peter O’Bad and sister Mary O’Bad preceded him in death. Thursday’s services will be at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel at Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. Highland Ave., where visitation will be observed from 1 to 5 p.m. Wednesday. Interment will be in Tracy Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Mr. O’Bad’s name may be made to St. Bernard’s Catholic Church’s Building Fund, 163 W. Eaton Ave., Tracy 95376.
