Edna F. Kurtz 
June 6, 1923 - February 14, 2005



Mrs. Edna F. Kurtz, 81, passed away on February 14, 2005, in Stockton. Mrs. 
Kurtz was born on June 6, 1923 in Redfield, South Dakota. She has been a San 
Joaquin County resident for the past 70 years. Edna loved being in the country 
surrounded by her animals: chickens, pigs, lambs, cats and her beloved Collie, 
Lassie. Known as the "Egg Lady", she delivered many dozens of eggs each 
Saturday to people who had become very special to her and her to them over many 
years. She donated dozens of eggs to the needy trough the efforts of the 
American Legion Auxiliary. Edna loved to read and fervently enjoyed traveling 
the globe through the adventures of the National Geographic. Spunky and spry, 
tough yet, gentle, Edna was loved and will be remembered by all who knew her. 
She was a member of the Karl Ross Post American Legion Auxiliary. 
Edna is survived by her cousins, Terry Kurtz and family of Castro Valley, Kay 
Mussio of Stockton, and Janice Fantof; adopted family, LaVor and Nadyne 
Sessions and Marc, Renee and Brandon Youngblood of Stockton. Visitation will be 
held on Thursday, 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the Wallace-Martin Funeral Home and 
a Service will be held on Friday, at 1:00 p.m. in the Fireside Chapel of the 
funeral home. Committal will be at Cherokee Memorial Park. For further
