Marthann Vestal


Marthann Vestal, 70, of Lodi, died July 5 in Lodi. She was born Marthann Sager 
on Aug. 18, 1933, in Martin S.D.

Mrs. Vestal moved to Lodi with her family in 1937, where she attended local 
schools and graduated from Lodi High School in 1951. She later moved to San 
Jose and Washington and back to San Jose where she was employed by Finnigan 
Corp. as a document controller for 25 years until her retirement. She was also 
employed by Lockheed Aircraft, Boeing Aircraft, and at Guild Winery or a brief 
time. After her retirement, she relocated back to Lodi. She enjoyed traveling, 
especially to Jackson and Lake Tahoe. She also enjoyed animals, mostly dogs and 
cats.

She is survived by her son, Roy Morrow, of Lodi; daughter, Debra G. Vestal, of 
Lodi; brothers, Louis Sager, of Lodi, and William Sager, of Casper, Wyo.; step-
mother, Betty M. Sager, of Casper, Wyo; four grandchildren and three great-
grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Sager; and sister, Betty 
Joyce Herbert.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Cherokee Memorial Park with 
Pastor Mark Butler of Harvest Bible Church officiating. There will be no 
visitation.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

A memorial register book may be signed at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home, 831 
Industrial Way, Lodi.

Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
