Sue was the beloved wife of Neal W. Welsh for 35 years; the loving mother to sons, Erick and Ethan; an affectionate mother-in-law to Erick's wife, Sarah. She is also survived by her brother, Warren Glenn Calhoun and a myriad of friends. Born, Sue Calhoun in Denver, CO, Sue received her BA from Colorado State University and an MS in Library Science from Catholic University of America. Sue has worked at the United States Public Land Law Review Commssion; the United States Court of customs and Patent Appeals; the Information Service at the Federal Judicial Center; Deputy Circuit Librarian for the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in San Fransisco. At the time of her death Sue was Head of Electronic Information at McGeorge School of Law. Mrs Welsh was a member and officer in many organizations including Washington, D.C., and Northern California chapters of the CSU Alumni Association; American Association of Law Libraries and its Washington, D.C., and Western Pacific chapters; the Northern California Association of Law Libraries; the Washinton, D.C. Law Librarians' Association; and the Depository Documents Librarians of San Francisco. Sue's friends are invited to a memorial service today, Wednesday, July 7, at 1:00 pm, in the Lecture Hall at McGeorge School of Law, 3200 5th Avenue, Sacramento, California. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations in Sue's memory be made to an organ or tissue bank of your choice. Internment will be private.
