Barbara Steenblock 
Barbara A. Steenblock, 73, of Galt, died Feb. 28 in Lodi following a brief 
illness. She was born Barbara A. Blodgett on June 16, 1931, in Falls City, Neb.

Mrs. Steenblock lived in Falls City, Neb., Brownsville, Texas and Garden City, 
Kan. before settling in Lodi in 1949. She was employed as a lab technician and 
a purchasing agent at Silgan Container Company and Del Monte for 29 years until 
her retirement. She was a member of St. Paul's American Lutheran Church in 
Lodi, and was a former member of the Assembly of God. She was also a member of 
the Moose Club, and was a former member and officer of the PTA at George 
Washington School. 

She enjoyed cooking, traveling and spending time with her family. She was an 
avid Oakland Raiders Fan.

She is survived by her sons, Roger L. Steenblock, of the bay area, and Ron 
Steenblock, of Herald; sister, Donna Miller, of Bakersfield; and two 
grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Naomi Williams.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Cherokee Memorial Park 
with Pastor John Trotter of Horizon Community Church officiating. Committal 
will follow at Cherokee Memorial Park. There will be no visitation.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the 
donor's choice. 

Rocha's Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
